Anybody at any age can use this machine. At the La Expo we had people of all ages some very young under 20 to some over 75. You don't need to be a big builder, an Olympian or a Contest Prep athlete getting ready for a show to use this apparatus. But you do have to put a certain effort into it. Now that you have the advanced multi tasking machine that will help you get ripped for the summer...but you don't know how to use it. FIRST...Start your reps SLOW then build up speed. Eccentric reps do a lot of calorie burning and muscle building once your rep speed picks up and that's when you're body starts to use more oxygen with your cardiovascular system, lungs or aerobic system (using more oxygen).
Your setting on your HYDRAULICS (UPPER AND LOWER) should be on# 4. This was the best and most effective setting while working out with people in the beginning trials and in the LA Convention Center.
First thing I recommend is do your pull movement. By this I mean step up on your foot bar and slip your feet in on the bottom then grab your top bar. Make sure your body is in a fixed state being very stable.
First PULL DOWN slowly on the top bar like your doing a pull down going down all the way. Then next with your upper body's arms pulled down CRUNCH up with your abs and knee's on both legs as high as you can brining your knee's parallel to your body.
Next your PUSH movement. At the SAME TIME push away with your ARMS like your doing a SHOUDLER PRESS and push away with your LEGS using your quads, your hamstrings and your calves.
Then start all over again. As a suggestion start off no more than 30 to 50 reps a day. Do this for a week! you can make this main exercise for the day or you can simply add The Trim track onto your daily routine. I don't just advocate you using this machine I have one myself.
On doing reps If needed take rests in between 10 reps then do another 10 reps after a 1 minute break. Then repeat. This machine can be extremely challenging if you go to fast or set the hardness level on the hydraulics to high. Start your reps slow and work your way into it. The FASTER the rep and the shorter the break you start to BURN MORE CALORIES, plus dipping into your hormones. By doing 4 extremities at once you will test your physical strength, endurance give your body a completely different type of workout.
